L’ex stella di Butler, Andrew Smith, è morto oggi dopo una lunga battaglia con il cancro e la leucemia. Smith aveva solo 25 anni. Qualche giorno fa Brad Stevens, ex allenatore di Butler, aveva fatto una visita a Smith, proprio perchà© le sue condizioni erano peggiorate. A dare la notizia della scomparsa del giocatore è stata la moglie Samantha. Una tragedia che ha colpito tutto il mondo del basket. Ecco l’intervista rilasciata da Stevens qualche giorno fa: “”””The last week’s been tough. I was happy that I got a chance to say goodbye. And this is really about, when you coach somebody, you get a lot more out of coaching them than they do from you. And that’s that. Found a niche and became one of the more high-achieving guys that I got a chance to coach, from where he started, but the last two years he’s been through a lot. And he just never gave in.
